This week I was once again for an inspection at Mr. Schmitz's and, as I have been for a number of years, excited again. High professional competence, all spare parts available and very fair prices. Always my pleasure. Incidentally, Hardo Wagner is the manufacturer of his bicycle, the shop is called Radsport Schmitz because that's the name of the owner. Some people should rather switch on their brains before such invented experiences.

The owner seems as a professional, no doubt about that. A concrete attitude to the customer, no fancy service stuff. You bring your bike, tell what the problem is, you pick it up the next day, you pay, you thank, and you go. The owner (as was told by himself) dealing with bikes for 30 years. Excellent pricing policy. Definitely suggest to concrete people which know exactly what they want from the shop.

Mr. Schmitz is an outstanding specialist and expert. I don't understand the worse ratings on the page. The pricing is fair and compared to the big providers like Radon and Feld no long waiting times. I bring my professional racing bike to him at the beginning of the season and cycle through the months of April to October without any major breakdowns.

Wanted to buy a specific Shimano bottom bracket as a spare part that was supposed to be in stock. When I arrived the requested bottom bracket didn't exist, just another part from another manufacturer. When I asked, I was only told a little vaguely that it could be done ("square is square") and that they are just as good, he always uses. Maybe, but I was still looking for the Shimano part and took a detour. Then I left the shop without buying.
